Saudi International Petrochemical Company has restarted its Acetic plant and carbon monoxide unit. The units were closed for scheduled maintenance turnaround. Plant remained off-stream for around20-26 days which has incurred a cost of around $4.8 million.
Acetic acid plant has the capacity of 4,00,000 tonnes per year.
