There has been significant fall in the values of Acetone in international market. The decline has been due to oversupply and limited demand in the international market. In past few months many new Acetone manufacturing units has started their production. This has added to the existing oversupply capacity. Units like Zhejiang Petrochemicals has started Acetone unit with capacity of 2, 30,000 tonnes/year. Many other units are likely to come up in the first half of 2019. This will lead to oversupply of the chemical.
