Saudia Arabia based Ar-Razi is considering for restarting its Methanol plant. The company shut down its Methanol plant in mid December and right now considering to restart its methanol plant in near future. Ar-Razi operates four plants out of its five plants in AL Jubail concurrently. This plant no5 has the production capacity of 1,700,000 mt/year.
Ar-Razi Saudi Methanol was a 50/50 joint venture formed between Saudi Arabia Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC) and a conglomerate of Japanese companies led by Mitsubishi Gas Chemical Company.
