Thailand based PTTGC group has shut down its no2 aromatic unit on Thursday. The shut down of unit has been due to technical fault. Uncertainty of plant shut down continues to remain.
Earlier the company was planning to impose force Majeure in the end of July but nobody from the company has confirmed about its position.
The no unit 2 has the production capacity to produce 3,07,000 mt/year of Benzene, 5,40,000 mt/year of Para Xylene, 66,000 mt/year of Ortho Xylene and 76,000 mt/year of Mixed Xylene.
