The explosion occurred rocked the Tenglong Aromatic hydrocarbon plant last week. The authorities have decided to shut its plant for several months. The repair and inspection is likely to take several months of this project. According to officials the fire remained confined to the storage area. Tenglong Aromatics operate two Para Xylene plants in Zhangzhou, Fujian and has the production capacity of 8,00,000 mt/year of Para Xylene, 1,60,000 mt/year of Ortho Xylene and 2,28000 mt/year of Benzene.
