South Korea based Hyundai Cosmo is likely to restart its aromatic unit post maintenance. The Hyundai Cosmo is a joint venture between Hyundai and Cosmo oil of Japan. The company has its aromatics unit based at Daesan. Earlier the units were shut down for maintenance turnaround in the last week of April. According to company sources the plant are likely to resume its operations in the first week of June. The units has the production capacity to produce 1.18 mt/year of Para Xylene and 2,50,000 mt/year of Benzene.
