Thailand based PTTGC has shut down its no 2 aromatic unit due to technical glitch on Thursday. Now company has announced about its closure for around 40-45 days. The company has announced maintenance for the unit following this incident.
According to company sources, tis unexpected shutdown will impact company's prior commitments.
The no unit 2 has the production capacity to produce 3,07,000 mt/year of Benzene, 5,40,000 mt/year of Para Xylene, 66,000 mt/year of Ortho Xylene and 76,000 mt/year of Mixed Xylene.
