Japan based Idemitsu Kosan shut down its aromatic unit for maintenance. The unit is likely to remain shut down from March till May end. This is an scheduled maintenance period for the aromatic unit. Idemitsu's aromatics units based in Chiba can produce 265,000 mt/year of paraxylene (PX), 577,000 mt/year of benzene, 353,000 mt/year of mixed xylenes (MX) and 210,000 mt/year of styrene monomer (SM).
