Japan based Idemitsu Kosan shut down its aromatic unit for maintenance. The unit is likely to remain shut down in the month of September. This is a scheduled maintenance period for the aromatic unit. Idemitsu's aromatics units based in Tokuyamas can produce 265,000 mt/year of paraxylene (PX), 577,000 mt/year of benzene, 353,000 mt/year of mixed xylenes (MX) and 210,000 mt/year of styrene monomer (SM).
