Asahimas Chemical subsidiary of Jakarta - Asahi Glass Co. has shipped the first polyvinyl chloride (PVC) from an expansion of its Cilegon, Indonesia, facility.
The project, cost around USD400-million, doubled vinyl chloride monomer capacity to 800,000 t/y from 400,000 t/y and amplified PVC capacity to 550,000 t/y from 300,000 t/y.
