Taiwan based Formosa Chemical & Fibre Corp has been running its aromatics units at 90-100% operating rates in December. FCFC operates three aromatic units at Mai Liao, Taiwan’s northwestern Yunlin County.
No.1 Aromatic unit has production capacity to produced PX around 287,000mt/year, benzene around 213,000mt/year and OX around 80,000mt/year. No.2 Aromatic unit has production capacity to produced PX around 573,000mt/year, benzene around 427,000mt/year and OX around 160,000mt/year. At last, No.3 Aromatic unit which consist of reformer and TDP unit, is also able to produce Benzene around 640,000mt/year and OX around 240,000mt/year.
