As per market source, Bharat Petrochemical Corporation is ready to start work on 5000crore complex in Kochi. The imminent petchem facility, adjacent to its Kochi refinery, once completed will produce 250mln tone speciality propylene derivative products, which are fully imported now. BPCL is duty to increase its refining capacity from 9.5 million ton to 15.5 million ton. The project is anticipated to be completed by December 2015.
