Construction at vietnam’s second oil refinery, the $7.5 billion Nghi Son plant is almost 60% complete and is on track tobe finished in mid-2017, as per market source. The refinery will supply mainly to the domestic market and will take in crude from Kuwait.
The Facility is owned by Japan’s Idemitsu Kosan, Mitsui Chemicals, State oil and gas group PetroVietnam and Kuwait Petroleum International. The 200,000b/d Nghi Son refinery will improve the oil processing capacity to 330,000 b/d by 2017.
