BASF-YPC 50-50 joint venture between BASF and Sinopec has restarted its cracker unit after maintenance turnaround in April and May. The maintenance was carried out in order to install a new Ethylene oxide plant. This plant is scheduled to start up in the fourth quarter of 2015. According to company officials the downstream plants at the site have also been brought back to the stream.
