Mitsui Chemicals has restarted its naphtha cracker after a brief schedule of maintenance. Earlier the cracker was shut down in the second week of June for maintenance. The cracker has the production capacity of naphtha 50,000 tonnes/year. The site also produces many other chemicals. It also produces olefins, aromatics, ammonia, urea, phenol, ethylene oxide, ethylene glycol, ethanolamine, unsaturated polyesters, isopropyl alcohol, melamine and others.
