Formosa Petrochemical Corporation (FPCC) has shut down its naphtha cracker unit. The cracker was taken off-stream due to some technical issues and operations were put on halt last weekend. The issue is presumably to be solved in a week and unit will restart its production. Unit is based at Mailiao in Taiwan and has the production capacity of Ethylene around 1.03 mln mt/year, propylene around 5, and 20,000 mt/year.
