Japan’s Mitsubishi Chemical was planning to restart its cracker unit last week. The unit was shut down on 20 May for maintenance turnaround. The plant is based at Mizushima. The maintenance was carried out in order to improve its ethylene making capacity. The capacity was improved by 77,000 tpa with new capacity of 5,70,000 tpa.
