Indian Oil Corporation started crude processing at its Paradip refinery. The refinery is likely to be commissioned in next six months. The refinery is likely to provide tough competition to the over expanding refineries in Middle East. Paradip refinery has the capacity of 3,00,000 barrel per day.
Earlier the refinery was expected to be commissioned in 2012. But the project was again delayed several times due to environmental clearance, supply issues, contractors and natural calamities.
