Leading petrochemical company BP is selling its 1000 acre petrochemical complex in Albama to Thailand based Indorama Ventures Public Company Pvt Ltd. The complex can produce 1 million mt/tons of PTA annually. It also produces Para Xylene and is the only commercial manufacturer of naphthalene dicarboxylate. The deal is expected to close early this year, with employees at the complex transferring to Indorama.
