The explosion occurred rocked the Tenglong Aromatic hydrocarbon plant on Monday evening. The plant is located in the Gulei Penisula in Zhangzhou city of China. The incident occurred when an oil leak occurred at its Para Xylene plant. Three gas tanks with the capacity of 20,000 cubic meters caught fire after the explosion. According to authorities there were no leaks from the plant’s three tanks of burning hydrocarbon liquids and no signs of the contamination of the environment following the blast. According to health authorities 19 people are being injured and are treated at the hospital. This is second incident in last two years. There was an explosion at the factory in July 2013 which also belongs to the Tenglong Hydrocarbon (Zhangzhou) Co, Ltd.
