Formosa Chemical and Fibre Corp has shut down its aromatic unit no 1 for maintenance turnaround. The unit is likely to remain off-stream for around four weeks. Unit is located at Mailiao in Taiwan and has the production capacity of benzene around 250,000 mt/year, toluene around 470,000 mt/years and isomer MX capacity of 100,000 mt/year.
