Fire broke out in one of the tanks at ONGC site in Padra. One contractual worker was injured in the incident and was rushed to hospital for treatment. The incident occurred after 6pm in the brine tank at ONGC’s workover site operation in Aati village. ONGC spokesperson said that there are two tanks at the spot – one storing waste oil and another has brine (salt water).
The spokesperson said that “Wielding work was going on at the tanks when the brine tank caught fire. Local as well as ONGC fire tenders rushed to the spot and doused the fire within an hour. No other damage has been reported
