South Korea based Hanwha Petrochemicals has declared force majeure on its SM unit based at Daesan. This step has been taken due on going labour strike at its no2 unit which has the production capacity of 6, 50,000 mt/year. The Daesan plant operates two SM units with a nameplate capacity of 400,000 mt/year and 650, 000 mt/year, respectively.
