Production has been started from naphtha fed steam cracker at Singapore by Shell Chemicals. According to sources the force majeure has been lifted on supply of olefins from its cracker unit. Earlier the force majeure was declared in the month of December. The cracker is based at Pulau Bukom and has capacity to produce 960,000 mt/year of ethylene,540,000 mt/year of propylene, 186,000 mt/year of butadiene, 276,000 mt/year of benzene and 750,000 mt/year of MEG.
