Styrindo Mono Indonesia (SMI) has announced a force majeure on its styrene monomer (SM) plant, because of unexpected technical issues on June 3, 2015. The authorities have not specified that for how long this force Majeure will remain implemented.
The SM plant is located at Merak, Indonesia and has production capacity of 250,000 MT/year.
