Canada based Methanex successfully produced its first batch of Methanol on December 27, 2015 at its Geismer, Louisiana based plant 2. According to company officials the plant started producing methanol about three months earlier than anticipated and they expect the plant to increase their output to full capacity in the coming weeks.
