Gujarat State Fertilizers and Corporation (GSFC) is planning to set up a petro chemical complex at Dahej in Gujarat. The overall project will incur an investment of around Rs.80000-10,000 crore. At present the project is under feasibility study/DPR as well as search/selection of technology suppliers.
GSFC s primarily a fertilizer manufacturer but also supply two other major chemicals i.e. Caprolactum and Melamine. The company enjoys monopoly in this segment in the country. The proposed plan is to enhance the production capacity of these two chemicals.
