South Korea based LG Chem has shut down its HDA unit due ti weak market conditions. HAD is an hydrodealkylation unit. The unit was shut down in the early weeks of January and is expected to remain offstream for most of this year. Weak margins for Benzene and Toluene has led to slowdown in HAD market. The unit is based at Daesan in South Korea.
