There has been heavy rise in petrochemical production in Iran in the current Iranian calendar year. Total production in this year has reached more than 38 million tons. There has been an increase in production by 4% in this period. Further NPC of Iran is planning to expand its production by 2020. The output is likely to reach from its current capacity of 60 million t/y to over 180 million t/y by 2025 with an investment of over 80 billion dollar.
