Tokyo-IDemitsu and Showa Shell Sekiyu (SSSKK) have rescheduled their plan for acquisition of a 33.3% in SSSKK as the Japan Fair Trade Commission's review of the companies' proposed business combination remains ongoing. The two companies signed a memorandum of under-standing last November to form a new equally-owned company in order to support Japan's energy security. The date of the business integration continues to be planned for 1 Apr2017. Previously scheduled for September 2016, the share transfer is now expected to be completed between October and November 2016.
