In a major decision taken by Indian government, the Directorate General of Anti-Dumping & Allied Duties (DGAD) has recommended of levying antidumping duties on PTA imported from South Korea and Thailand. It has recommended tariffs of $ 23.61-78.28 mt on PTA imports from South Korea and $45.43-62.55 mt on cargoes from Thailand.
On other side the authorities has cancelled the anti-dumping investigation against China and European nation. Provisional anti dumping duty was imposed on imports from China, The European nation, South Korea and Thailand in July 2014 followed by allegations of dumping of PTA from India.
