Indian Oil Corp is planning to start its new Polypropylene unit by June 2018. The commercial production is likely to be started by end of this year. The unit will have production capacity of 7,00,000 mt/year. The unit is base at Paradip in Odisha. IOC has an existing 650,000 mt /year PP plant in Panipat, Haryana. Market sources expect import volumes to decrease following the new startup.
