Indonesian government is keen on purchasing crude from Iranian government. On an official trip to Jakarta, Riyahi met Sudriman Said, the Indonesian Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources. She said that discussions focused on petrochemicals, refineries, distribution, technical and engineering services as well as the construction of refineries in Indonesia.The Iranian Ministry of Petroleum would “support private sector’s participation in construction of refineries in Indonesia by providing the feedstock” said Riyahi. She added that “negotiations were in the initial phase and additional talks would continue”.
