INEOS Nitriles has declared force majeure at its ACN unit based in UK. The unit was scheduled for annual maintenance after one month. This abrupt shutdown has been carried out due to operational issues. Company has already shutdown it’s Great, Texas based in US having the production capacity of 5, 45,000 tonnes/year due to operational issues. Force majeure declared ACN unit has the production capacity of 2, 80,000 tonnes/year and is based at Seal Sands in UK.
