Iran planning to increase its annual production by 9,00,000 tons by end of the current Iranian year. According to National Petrochemical Company officials, three petrochemical units namely Mahabad, Kordestan and Lorestan Complexes will be into operation in the west of the country. Currently there are 60 semi-finished petrochemical projects in Iran; adding that $30 billion is required to complete them. Once these projects are completed the output of petrochemical will be doubled to 120 million tons.
