Iran to complete several new petrochemical plants by 2016

Iran is in a row of starting new petrochemical projects in next one year. Construction of 12 new petrochemical projects in various provinces will be completed and will start its operations during the current Iranian year which ends on March 19, 2016.

According to the National Petroleum Company he projects include phase 2 of Kavian Petrochemical plant, as well as other petrochemical complexes in Marvdasht (Shiraz), Lorestan, Kurdistan, Mahabad, Hegmataneh, Karoon, Dalahoo, phase 3 of Pardis Petrochemical plant, Takht-E Jamshid Petrochemical Company, a polystyrene complex, and the development project of Morvarid Petrochemical plant.

Kavian Petrochemical plant is the world’s largest Ethylene producing unit and total production capacity will exceed 2 million tons per year.
