South Korea based Korea Petrochemical Industry Co(KPIC) has restarted its naphtha fed steam cracker unit on 6th June. Earlier the unit was shut down in mid of April for turnaround. Now the company is trrying hard to achieve its on spec production level.
Under KPIC's expansion program, the steam cracker's ethylene production capacity will rise to 800,000 mt/year from 470,000 mt/year, and its propylene capacity to 500,000 mt/year from 230,000 mt/year.
