South Korean LG Chem had decided to drop a plan to jointly build a US$ 4.2-billion petrochemical complex in Kazakhstan, on account of plunge in oil prices and a spiky swell in facility investments.
As per the plan they have decided to build ethylene and polyethylene plants with annual capacities of 840,000 tonnes and 800,000 tonnes, respectively near the western Kazakh city of Atyrau.
