South Korea’s LG Chem is the third phenol maker in Asia has operating its Phenol Acetone plant at condensed rate. On 1st October it has reduced the run rate at its two phenol/acetone plants to 80% capacity, from 100% previously.
Phenol/Acetone plant is located at Yeosu, South Korea and having production capacity of 300,000MT/year for Phenol and 180,000MT/year for Acetone.
