Lotte Chemical Corp is planning to expand naphtha cracking center based at Yeosu in South Korea. The specification has not been declared yet by the company. The unit currently has a total capacity of 1 mln mtpa of ethylene. The Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy said in a statement that Lotte Chemical was considering the move with an aim to begin construction in H1-2017, without saying by how much it might raise capacity.
