Mammoet has been given the contract to provide heavy-lift and transportation services for the largest under-construction petrochemical plant in Oman.
The Dutch lifting company will transport approximately 75 units to the Sohar facility, including a 100m-long fractionator and four bullets weighing more than 1,000 tonnes.
The units will be transported using self-propelled platform trailers, according to Mammoet. The plant’s largest components will necessitate the temporary removal of street lights and road signs.
