MEG supply has tightened in the US market as many other units are planning for maintenance. . Dow Chemical is planning a turnaround this month at its 400,000 mt/year unit in Seadrift, Texas. To add further Indorama Ventures has declared force majeure on MEG and ethylene oxide deliveries from its Clear Lake, Texas, plant, according to a filing by the company. The plant has a capacity of 550,000 mt/year of EO and MEG, according to the company website.
