Shell Singapore is likely to restart its MEG production in the month of April. According to sources the operating likely to remain 50% initially. Earlier the force majeure was declared by company on its MEG, DEG and Ethylene units in the first week of December 2015. The unit is located at Pulau Bukom. The unit has the production capacity of 7,50,000 mt/year. Its cracker has a capacity of 960,000 mt/year of ethylene, 500,000 mt/year of propylene and 155,000 mt/year of butadiene.
