Lotte Chemical has decided to shut down its MEG unit. The unit is likely to remain off-stream for around one month. It may resume its production in the first week of July. Unit has been put on halt due to change in the catalyst in plant. Unit is based at Yeosu in South Korea and has the production capacity of 1,60,000 mt/year.
