Indonesia based PT Kaltim Methanol plant has been shut down unexpectedly due to some technical fault. The issue is likely to be sorted in span of 3-4 days. The unit has the production capacity of 7,00,000 mt/year. Japan's Sojitz is the majority shareholder with an 85% stake, while PT Humpuss and Daicel Chemical Singapore Pvt Ltd have a 10% and 5% stake respectively.
