OQ Chemical is an Oman based plant which was shutdown earlier for amintenace. This plant was earlier known as Salalah Methanol and now is part of OQ group.
Oman-based producer OQ Methanol restarted its plant on 3 July after an unplanned shutdown that lasted for about a week.
Earlier this was taken offstream around 27-28 June because of minor technical issues. Later the issues were sorted out and production rates were improved.
OQ Methanol is part of the recently formed OQ group and also includes its trading arm previously known as Oman Trading International.
