Japan based Mitsui Chemicals has shut down its naphtha cracker unit for maintenance turnaround. The unit is owned by Osaka Petrochemicals Indutries Ltd. The shut down has been carried out for cleaning and other production adjustment related matter. The unit has the production capacity of 5,00,000 mt/year. The unit is likely to resume its production in the third week of July.
