Japan based Asahi Kasei will start its new cracker unit on 1st April of this year. Earlier the company has shut down its cracker permanently last week. The cracker used to produce Ethylene 504,000 mt/year and Propylene 300,000 mt/year.
Now this new cracker unit has the production capacity of 7,50,00 mt/year of Ethylene. It is a joint venture between Asahi Kasei and Mitsubishi Chemical.
