Despite of slowdown in Phenol market in the year 2015 in Asian region, more units are likely to start their production in this new year. To name a few Thailand based PTT Phenol is likely to start a new unit having the production capacity of 2,50,000 in the first quarter of 2016. Kumho P&B of South Korea will start a new Phenol plant is the second quarter of 2016 having the capacity of 3,00,000 tonnes/year. To add further PetroRabigh is expected to start its new plant in the second quarter of 2016 having the capacity of 2,75,000 mt/year in Rabigh, Saudi Arabia.
