Thailand based PTT Phenol Company Limited which was the first company to produce Phenol in Southeast Asia is currently operating its Phenol-Acetone plant at full capacity rate.
According to the sources, earlier the company had taken the plant off-stream for a scheduled maintenance turnaround. Post restart the plant has been operating at its full capacity.
The Phenol-Acetone plant which is located in Map Ta Phut, Thailand has a production capacity of 200,000 mt/year and 124,000 mt/year.
